The Office of the University Controller (UCO)’s mission is to provide leadership and guidance for financial compliance, controls and accountability through the development of comprehensive and sound fiscal policies, accounting standards, financial systems and reporting. In support of the university community, UCO aspires to provide efficient and effective financial services and to support decision making by providing timely and accurate financial information.
Created for campus administrators and fiscal officers, this area offers access to the IU Accounting Standards Book, Operating Procedures and Policies for university financial operations. This site includes an archive of UCO’s current standard operating procedures along with a growing reference library, reporting hub, and more.
UCO serves a wide variety of constituents, from IU employees and students to external suppliers and customers. Resources for these external audiences are available by audience in our Services & Support center. Here you’ll find resources related to paychecks, tax filing, invoice payment, and much more.
UCO oversees certain technical components of several enterprise financial systems and third-party applications that facilitate Indiana University's compliance with accounting, payroll, procurement, and domestic and international tax reporting requirements. This section of the site contains background information related to these systems.
