Indiana University is keenly focused on supporting the IU 2030 strategic plan and strengthening IU's financial future. We have several initiatives that align with the IU 2030 plan and focus on improvements in financial operations and management. Current initiatives include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Peer benchmarking/shared services centers: IU continues to analyze core business functions and assess expense levels and performance metrics with both peer institutions and world-class corporations. We continue to look for efficiencies through the development of shared service centers and standardized processes, where applicable.
- Review and modernize IU's budget process and structure at the administration and campus level to better align with the IU 2030 plan and future financial operations, mindful of the financial resources and investments that support the IU 2030 plan.
- Rollout the IU Finance 2030 plan, which is focused on bringing Indiana University’s financial operations and management into the modern era, and strengthen the culture of fiscal responsibility and accountability to ensure the financial health of IU now and in the future.
- Grow and support continuous improvement, financial communications, and employee training efforts to ensure IU's financial operations are performing effectively and with a high degree of accountability.
